Celebrating Unity on Independence Day

The 80th Independence Day is a milestone along a journey that has spanned four generations. From the Silent generation of the 50's, to the Boomers of the 60's to the Millennials of the turn of the century, now the Gen Z, and on to gen Alpha, the kids in school right now.

How does this 'journey' along the path to true development resonate with the working classes whose toil has built the various edifices that are the the 'markers' of 'modern Bihar': the fancy malls, the high rise apartments, the over bridges and convention centres?

The Aashray Abhiyan team organized flag hoisting events at the 'labour chowk' - the spots where the daily wagers, the unorganized construction workers, congregate.

The community appreciated the efforts of our team members, and resolved to forge unity amongst themselves so they could better engage with the government and other agencies for their rights and legal benefits.

A sense of fraternity that goes beyond the divide of caste and creed was very evident.
