Awareness Meeting at Shashtri Nagar

November 11: Today, an awareness meeting was organized in the slums of Shastri Nagar under the leadership of Saraswati Devi Ji. In this, Dharmendra Kumar, Dilip Patel, and Ranjit Kumar Ji served as trainers.

Some 30 women participated in this meeting.

The topics of the meeting were:

(1) Poverty and why poverty?

(2) Ways to rise above poverty?

(3) Etc.

While introducing the topic in the meeting, Dilip Patel Ji said that in the slum, the poor and landless families who have been residing/earning their livelihood for more than 10 years become entitled to the land they occupy, as described in the Urban Slum Act, and they should not be removed without rehabilitation.


He also appealed to organize and fight against the problems arising in the name of Smart City.


On the occasion, Dharmendra Kumar emphasized The importance of group action to the people. That to rise above poverty, they should unite and engage in small self-employment opportunities, and adopt education and skill development. Every hand should have work, and everyone should have art and skill.

He also called upon them to unite and raise their voices boldly to obtain their fundamental rights.

Also present at the meeting, Rajkumari Devi, recalling past struggles, resolved to fight until her last breath and served as an inspiration to the people.


Before the conclusion of today's meeting, other team members spoke.


Appreciating the enthusiasm and interest shown by all the women who were present, Ranjit Kumar Ji gave the vote of thanks, and Saraswati Devi Ji assured them of our support and accompaniment .
