Construction Workers' Woes

The workers who work on construction sites are the ones who are going through a very challenging time.
They leave their homes each morning with a hope that they will get work and will return home with some money for their families.
You will find them assembled at the points waiting for work, hoping that they will be employed.
By mid day their hope fades away as they soon realize that today will be another day when they will go home empty handed.

As our team members interact with them, listen to their painful stories.
At times we are helpless as we can only offer them suggestions to find alternative work.
On the other hand we at Aashray Abhiyaan must continue our work, our advocacy continues with the concerned government officials, to ensure that they are given work under the existing livelihood schemes.
The distressed faces tell us a story which should

touch every human person. Life is a struggle as they leave their homes in the village and travel towards the township, but soon their efforts are lost and they get disappointed.
